Frontiers in Integrative Neuroscience recently published a groundbreaking special topics issue on “Autism: The Movement Perspective.” Keynote and general sessions will feature authors from this publication. Emphasis will be on breakthroughs in neuroscience and how to apply new ideas to support people with autism. Breakout sessions by researchers, self-advocates, parents, and practitioners will highlight personalized supports for communication, behavior, and socialization across the lifespan.

Over the past several decades, WAPADH has grown from a small parents association offering limited services to become a large and significant provider of excellent services to people with developmental disabilities. In 2011, WAPADH decided to embark upon a strategic planning process to deliberately determine how it wanted to expand in its next stage.
