Brady has had a lifetime interest in people with disability labels. As her parents were leaders in innovative approaches to housing and community integration of people with disabilities and their families, Brady had real life experiences growing up which led to teaching experiences in a local non-profit called WAPADH.
Brady received her BA at UC Santa Cruz and her MA at Birkbeck College at the University of London. She returned to WAPADH in 2005 to manage a grant which developed the Language Arts and Technology Lending Library, in partnership with the Whittier Area Cooperative Special Education Program. Currently as Program Director at WAPADH, Brady oversees Delta Services educating more than 180 adults and supervising more than 100 staff. She provides internal staff trainings on communication support for people with disabilities, in addition to monthly community workshops for people with communication support needs. In 2008, Brady received a Certificate of Recognition as a Master Trainer in Facilitated Communication Training from Syracuse University.
